FIRST AIG/AIAA JOINT MEETING

Prior to the establishment of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) student branch at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), the main focus group/ activity for aviation and aerospace enthusiasts in the university has been the Aeronautics Interest Group (AIG).  Since the forming of the AIAA student chapter, there has been a change in the role AIG plays at HKUST.

Whilst AIAA represents a professional society, with the main focus of developing students in a professional manner - such as aiding students in achieving their career goals after graduating from HKUST; the AIG is an interest group enticing students that have a slight interest in aviation and developing their passion as well as interest in the industry through fun-filled socialising and hands-on workshop activities.

Come on the 29th of September, 2014 to find out more about the activities the two respective groups have planned for the coming year/ half a year.  Snacks and drinks will be served after the "Why become an aircraft engineer?" talk by Senior Aircraft Projects Engineer, Daniel Nathali.
